The number of stars a hotel is awarded is based on the facilities and accommodation provided, however, the level of service and standard of comfort, at any star rating level, can vary considerably inTurkey. This is especially true in the holiday resorts, where some four and five star hotels offer a level of service and comfort one star level lower than their official star rating.
Hotels included in the Hotel Directory Turkey have been recommended and vetted on the basis of user feedback. The Hotel Directory Turkey is designed, updated and administered by the Turkish Association of Travel Agencies.
Hotels classified as special class hotels are those which are usually renovated and/or converted from historical buildings. The standard of accommodation and service can range from simple to luxury. Foreinstance boutique hotels are included in this category.
Hotel Reservations in Turkey include budget accommodations as well, however the standards offered at this level of accommodation can vary considerably. Within this category there is relatively little control regarding standards of comfort and service.
All prices included in any quotation are for the room or rooms specified. For example:
SINGLE ROOM: Normally a double room priced for occupancy by one person only. Occasionally single sized rooms are available with a single sized bed.
DOUBLE ROOM: A double room with one double sized bed, priced for occupancy by two persons only.
TWIN ROOM: A double room with two single sized bed, priced for occupancy by two persons only.
TRIPLE ROOM: A double room with either one double sized bed or two single sized beds, plus an additional single sized bed, priced for occupancy by three persons only.
SUITE: Not all hotels have suites available. If available, the number of persons accommodated is specified.
All hotels in Turkey will make an additional charge if more persons other than what is specified in the booking occupy the room overnight.
RO: Room only, no meals are included in the room price, possibly no restaurant is available at the hotel.
BB: Bed and breakfast, includes breakfast taken between the hours stated by the hotel, possibly no restaurant is available at the hotel for other meals.
HB: Half board, includes breakfast and dinner. Occasionally by prior arrangement, the hotel will provide lunch in lieu of dinner.
FB: Full board, includes breakfast, lunch and dinner, excluding drinks from the bar.
INC All inclusive: There are several categories of 'all inclusive' arrangements available in Turkey which normally include all meals, snacks, soft drinks, locally produced alcoholic drinks and use of most of the hotel facilities.
